There is a vast difference in the present commitment levels of those who make up the Church of Christ. Today we will consider the two main groups and the negative and positive spiritual impact made by each on themselves, their families, the church, and on their nation as well.

Today we arrive at the letter H in our effort to alphabetize God. That letter could stand for a number of words that characterize God significantly. This morning, God has led us to a word which leads us to a better understanding of God's love and concern for His people.

Little is more important for us to understand than the grace of God. We live in the dispensation of the Age of Grace. In the Gospel of John, we read that “the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” We are saved by grace. The Apostle Paul said, “for by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.” Grace is important and we should know what God’s Word has to say about it.

Pastor Anderson In the English language, there is that which is positive, that which is comparative, and finally that which is superlative. This morning, we hope to identify the superlatives of our great salvation. It provides benefits that make life a joy to live and a comfort to behold when we think of the hereafter.

We are moving through the alphabet to describe the personality and character of God. This week is the letter F, and it speaks to us of “The Faithfulness of God.” No other incident in the life of Christ more graphically depicts the faithfulness of God than His triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

Pastor Anderson. Over the past few weeks, we have been matching a word to a letter in the alphabet that best defines the work, character, and personality of God. This morning we come to the letter E. What do you feel it should represent?

God deserves to be described and characterized by every letter of the alphabet. This morning, Pastor begins a series entitled "The Alphabetizing of God". Jesus said, "And this is life eternal, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." May this journey draw us ever closer to His heart.

Chapel on the Hill is an independent, Bible believing church in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Our setting, situated on a picturesque hill across from a beautiful reservoir, in the heart of a densely populated suburb of New York City, is symbolic of the way our church provides a spiritual oasis from busy, stressful days.

Our church is a place of fellowship, inspiration, and teaching, as well as a launch pad for effective Christian living in today's world.
