Acts 2:38 NOT WATER BAPTISM
"...and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, Could not this verse read, "...and be baptized (washed, cleansed, fully whelmed)everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ." Isn't there cleansing power in the name of Jesus Christ? The answer is yes! Note I Corinthians 6:11 where we read, "And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

The Apostle Peter was converted three years after he was saved. After Peter, the Apostle, had already been saved for three years, he was then converted. Shocked? What does this do to the use of the phrase "be converted"? Should we only tell saved persons to "be converted" and then what does it mean? Why should a saved person need to be converted? See Luke 22:32

Much confusion has surrounded the passage of Scripture in Matthew 24:31-46. The judgment of the nations is an event that will occur seven years after the rapture, immediately following Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. As Jesus Christ sets up His earthly (1,000 year kingdom), His first order of business is to judge the nations and eliminate the unsaved from entering the millennium.

2 Timothy 2:15
"Approved" is referring to the judgment of believers for degree of rewards. We must study the instruction book - the Bible - to accomplish this. Salvation is a gift, but rewards are earned and given upon approval of our works.

"Repent of Sin." This often-quoted phrase "repent of sin" does not even occur in the Bible. Most people are quite shocked to find that it does not appear in the Scripture. Nowhere does the Scripture use the phrase, "repent of sin" to be saved. Scripture does say in Acts 20:21, "repentance toward God" (change of mind), and "faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
