They abandoned the faith of their father Abraham and the Law of Moses. They broke God's covenant and went "whoring" after other gods.

As Jeremiah opens up we see two signal events: God's call of Jeremiah and Israel at the crossroads of life and death. Babylon's horses and riders are on the way!

We're not only outnumbered today, beloved; we're also outranked. Some of our nation's highest-ranking leaders have defied the Lord and defiled His holy covenants of life and marriage. God will not tolerate this for long! We're weakening against strong nations.
