There's a difference in seeking God and following Him. It is possible to go through all the
right motions of seeking Him and yet find oneself in rebellion against Him. It is possible to
appear hungry for God and yet turn down the "meals" that He offers. It is possible to seek
His will and yet turn from it when He clearly reveals it. And, it is possible to look good
while doing it and be genuinely surprised when God doesn't answer. In the message,
       "Pseudo Seekers," we'll see why.

We all have assumptions. Some are true and some are false. Some are warranted and
some are unwarranted. Assumptions could be described as those things that we assume
will follow a certain line of thinking or actions. Jesus had some assumptions about His
followers. In fact, in Matthew 6, right in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount, we see
three things that Jesus simply assumed that all of His followers were going to do. In the
message, "Assumptions," we'll see what they are and, hopefully, remind ourselves that He
assumes we're going to be about the business of doing them, too!

Many of us spend 40 hours or more at our jobs every week. Imagine the possibilities, if
we could just take Jesus to work with us every time we go. The good news is...we can!
And we can do it in a way that impacts the lives of people without doing any disservice to
our employer. In the message "Taking Jesus To Work," we'll hear from Ben Bonner -
called to the ministry but employed by Walmart as a door greeter. Ben will share some
real life experiences that will encourage you to take Jesus with you to work, too!

When it comes to reaching beyond the four walls of the church, many believers are
underachieving. They love God and they love people but, for a number of reasons, they
tend to be ineffective in connecting new people to God. For some, it's busyness. For
others it's zeal without knowledge. And for yet others, it's plain old apathy. In the
message, "Taking Jesus To Your World," we'll renew the challenge and look at some
       practical ways to meet it.

Want a definition of life at its best? It's Jesus in the middle of it all. In fact, we would have no hope of eternity without His intervention betwen God and us. In the message, "Middle Man," we'll see the benefits of having Jesus in the middle of every part of our lives.

We live in a very comfort minded culture. We look for comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes, comfortable furniture, comfortable homes, and yes...even comfortable churches...and rightfully so, to an extent. The Holy Spirit is said to be our Comforter. We are told to comfort one another. God is called the God of all comfort. It has been said that Jesus comforts those who are afflicted. But...it has also been said that He afflicts those who are comfortable. In the message, "Mary: Troubled For A Higher Purpose," we'll see how the "troubling" of God in our lives can often lift us to a greater place of service for His glory.

Have you ever made big plans only to have your world turned upside down shortly thereafter? Joseph could relate. He was planning his marriage to Mary when a startling discovery hit him right between the eyes. Mary was pregnant. Needless to say, he had a few questions and some things he had to settle. Interestingly enough, his questions - though different in nature, were very similar in kind to the ones we all must face.

Understanding God's acceptance of us may raise a very important question. If God's offers His acceptance to me in my present condition, why concern myself with changing? Can't I have life like I want it and experience God's love and forgiveness at the same time? The question, in and of itself, overlooks the most important element of God's acceptance. In the message, "Changed," we will see what it is and how it affects us.

What is it that causes a young man to hold his breath when he's down on one knee, with ring in hand, before the girl of his dreams? What is it that causes a hopeful college applicant to run to the mailbox every day looking for that certain return address? And, what it it that causes a new student to be apprehensive those first few days of school? In a nutshell, the answer is.....ACCEPTANCE. And, when the girl says, "Yes!," and the college says, "You're in!," and new friends say, "Come join us!," the world is a better lace to live. There's nothing like being accepted. It warms the heart and makes the sun a little brighter. This is especially true of God's acceptance of us. In the message, "Acceptance", we'll see the benefits and consequences of understanding this life changing truth.
