The Universal Call for Repentance

Saturday, May 1, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson Paul at Athens issued a universal call for repentance. Wherever the gospel goes this universal call for repentance goes. John Calvin wrote, “…As often as the voice of the Gospel sounds in our ears, let us realize that God is urging us to repent.” Today, so often the gospel goes out without a call to repentance. This is a major reason that there is so little conviction of sin and such a shallow Christianity in our modern society. Let us pray that God will once again send forth a call to repentance throughout our land.

The Greater David

Saturday, April 24, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson The promise of the Old Testament prophets was that one day David’s fallen tent would be rebuilt and restored. What were they referring to? Were they referring to the restoring of the nation of Israel to its former prominence when David and Solomon were Kings or were they referring to a Greater David who would come one day and bring salvation not only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles?

Saturday, April 17, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson Persecution had broken out against the church. It seemed that Satan was going to win the day after all, but God had another plan. The Kingdom of God cannot be stopped no matter how hard Satan tries. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. The Word of God continued to increase and spread. Let it be our prayer that the Word of God will prevail in our generation in an even greater way.

Saturday, April 10, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson Herod had put the Apostle James to death and had Peter thrown in prison. He was persecuting the church in order to please the Jews. The gospel was being strongly opposed. Times looked gloomy but God had a better plan. The gospel instead of being stamped out increased and spread. Today we are living in times of spiritual and moral decay. Yet, God has a better plan and this time will not last. We must believe that. Let us pray for revival.

The Great Feast in the Kingdom of God

Saturday, April 3, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson One person asked Jesus, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” Jesus answered, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.” If we leave the conversation at this point, we would think that only a few people will be saved. Yet Jesus goes on to talk about a great feast in the Kingdom of God to which many people from all directions of the globe will come to enjoy fellowship. Will the Kingdom of God be peopled by only a few or by many? What is the future for the church? Will it decline to only a remnant or will it increase to be a blessing to the whole world? This week’s message will seek answers to these questions.

Future Restoration

We look forward to that day when He shall come back and restore all things. We look forward to a new heaven and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells. As we consider this week's text, we would like to see what the Bible says about restoration and what if any restoration we should expect in this present age. Should we expect righteousness to increase in this present age as we look forward to the perfect age yet to come or will things get worse and worse?

Revival Spurs the Gospel Onward

Saturday, March 20, 2010 Host: Alex Dodson The Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost but that was not the end of the outpourings of the Spirit. The Spirit was poured out at other times as well and each time the Spirit was poured out, the gospel advanced. Great Revivals have occurred in the past in which the Spirit was poured out in abundance and each time the gospel was spurred onward. Today, we continue to need Revival to help send forth the gospel into all the world.

The Extent of Abraham's Blessing

The gospel will yet prevail in this world that we are living in. The whole world was included in the promise made to Abraham. This promise should spur us on to proclaim the gospel to all the peoples of the world that each people group might receive the promise made to Abraham.

The Jewish leaders opposed Him and eventually led the people to cry out against Him and call for His crucifixion. Yet, in all of this God’s plan was being worked out. Jesus’ going to the cross was no second thought on God’s part. It was His sovereign purpose all along that in the end would bring salvation to the peoples of the whole world.

People from all over the world would now become the people of God – Jews and Gentiles alike.

Ministry Information

Watchmen Radio Ministries International was founded in 1992 in Portland, Oregon. This ministry has as its goal to reach out to the peoples of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the use of radio. We are presently broadcasting the gospel message in ten languages on five continents. We have a special desire to put gospel programs in the languages of unreached people groups. In order to carry out this aim, we are establishing field studios in strategic areas in countries like Nepal and India. Through our International Partners in Evangelism, we are calling godly workers to help reach out to the unreached peoples of the world.

Our studio in Nepal produces gospel radio programs for Asia and Africa to reach villages just like the one in the picture. Our coworkers there are presently in need of a Power Backup to provide electrical power during the hours that the electricity is off. Nepal is experiencing a shortage of electrical power due to reduced rainfall and low water supply for the hydroelectric plant and also due to increased consumers of electricity in Nepal.
