Speaker Vern Jewett concludes our Series today with a very important message. Given all the evil and danger that’s in the world, most people agree that things can’t continue this way much longer – we’re heading for destruction. But the Good News today is each of us can still choose to follow Jesus Christ as our Savior. So we urge you not to wait but instead, join Vern in our prayer of invitation at the end of today’s message. Listen now and choose Jesus Christ as your Savior today. Then allow Him, the “Living Light” to guide you from here to eternity.

An ingenious device called the Global Positioning System, or GPS, makes it easy for anyone to find any location any place in the world! Sadly, however, a lot of people wander through their personal life without direction or purpose – leaving themselves open to the controlling circumstances created by others. Fortunately, we have access to the only One who can bring purpose, meaning, and direction to life! Listen now and let Jesus Christ, who is the “Living Light,” guide you through this hostile environment of the 21st century.

When you really think about it, there isn’t much of anything in this life really worth fighting for. Why, because nothing in this life lasts forever. Eventually it all succumbs to the ravages of time. That is, except for one thing. Listen and read the encouraging and powerful words in verses 24 and 25 of the Book in the Bible known as Jude. Then allow Jesus Christ the “Living Light” to fill you with what does last forever – His love and salvation.

Through the teaching of Jesus Christ in today’s Scripture passage, Speaker Vern Jewett has us focus on a very important and a very sobering Biblical precept. Seventeenth century philosopher Blaise Pascal said that all of us are created with a “God-shaped vacuum” that only He (God) can fill. And as Jesus teaches today, much worse than trying to fill this vacuum with the things of this world is to leave it empty. For we do so at our own peril! Join us now and allow the Lord Jesus Christ to fill your heart with Himself.

Rather than a personal description of someone, the title of today’s message is a metaphor for a destructive behavior that has been part of the human condition since the beginning of mankind. Its effects are so devastating that the Apostle James addresses this problem in today’s Scripture passage. Listen now and see how the only way to be rescued from the sin of envy is to focus your attention and your spiritual commitment on the “Living Light” – Jesus Christ.

Speaker Vern Jewett begins his message with a humorous little story in order to illustrate an important Biblical precept found in today’s Scripture passage. We urge you to read this passage of Scripture. Doing so will help you to see God’s perspective on what He considers paramount in the spiritual development of every Christian, and in the spreading of the Gospel to a world that’s on a collision course with destruction.

With all the cell phones, I-pods, Blackberries, the Internet, and television in today’s culture being quiet long enough to do anything is considered archaic and even a waste of time. That is until we’re faced with a critical or a life-threatening situation. Then, all these “toys” loose their meaning as reality becomes painfully apparent. You see God, Who gave us the knowledge to make all these things never intended they should replace Him in our lives. Join us now, put Him first in your life, and take the time to listen to His still, small voice.

Today’s program brings up an important question: “Is it ever right for a Christian to be angry?” The conventional wisdom of the world says, “No, Christians should never be angry.” However, as we’ll see in Speaker Vern Jewett’s message today, the Bible gives us a very different perspective on this matter. Join us and see the difference between anger that is self-centered and that which is God centered.

Regardless of our spiritual maturity, we’ve all experience times when God was silent. At first, it might seem like God has abandoned us. But as Speaker Vern Jewett will point out today, this is when we must remember all that God has done for us in the past. Then, in faith, wait patiently on Him. Listen now and experience Jesus Christ the “Living Light” in your life and remember that He has promised to never leave you, nor forsake you.

Today’s program is about bringing healing to a problem that’s widespread in our culture – loneliness. Despite all the ways we have to communicate with each other, many of us can relate to the lament that David expresses in today’s Scripture passage. We also feel like a lonely “sparrow on a housetop.” This is why we hope you’ll join us and allow the emptiness that’s in your life to be filled with the only One who can bring you peace and fulfillment – Jesus Christ.
