Ligonier Ministries was established in 1971 to equip Christians to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. Our foremost desire is to "awaken as many people as possible to the holiness of God by proclaiming, teaching, and defending His holiness in all its fullness." Our vision is to propagate the Reformed faith to the church throughout the world.

In order to accomplish this goal, Ligonier endeavors to provide solid teaching that helps bridge the educational gap between Sunday school and seminary. By making Christian education materials available, Ligonier hopes to encourage Christian laypeople to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they will be equipped to serve the church and glorify God (Romans 12:2).

To this end, the ministry produces the Renewing Your Mind radio broadcasts, The Reformation Study Bible (ESV), Tabletalk devotional magazine, books that are true to the historic Christian faith through Reformation Trust Publishing, numerous teaching series, sacred music, national and regional conferences, and an extensive catalog with over 3,000 unique resources.

Countless churches are preaching a message that has little if anything to do with the biblical gospel. On March 26-27, 2010, Ligonier Ministries will host our West Coast Conference in Los Angeles, Calif., in order to help the church address this pressing problem. Michael Horton, John MacArthur, Peter Jones, and R.C. Sproul will come together to examine many of the popular misunderstandings of the gospel in our day and seek to equip evangelicals to stand firm with the good news delivered once for all to the saints.

Throughout his nearly fifty years of teaching the content of the Bible and theological concepts, Dr. R. C. Sproul has "majored on the majors" - the most important doctrines and truths of the Christian faith. As a gifted communicator, Dr. Sproul has helped many believers grow in their understanding of such matters as the nature of God, the history of redemption, and the manner in which we are saved.

Now Dr. Sprouls' lucid teaching on these vital matters is available in a series of concise booklets that are perfect for personal learning and refreshing, as well as small-group study. The initial booklets in the Crucial Questions series deal with such topics as the true identity of Jesus, the will of God, the value of prayer, and the trustworthiness of the Bible. Future booklets in the series will address equally important subjects. For a quick introduction to matters at the very core of the Christian life, for yourself or a friend, consider the Crucial Questions booklets from Reformation Trust Publishing.
